FontCue (fontcue.com) is a typography publication. This page explains what data the site handles and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

We do not sell personal data, we do not run a mailing list at the time of writing, and we do not ask for any information the site does not need.

Cookies

WordPress sets cookies when you leave a comment (to remember your name and email for the next one) and when an administrator signs in. Our caching layer may set a technical cookie that carries no personal data.

If you follow an affiliate link to a font marketplace, that marketplace may set its own cookie to attribute the referral. That cookie belongs to them and is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure.

Analytics

When a web analytics tool is connected to this site, it will be named here together with what it measures. Until then, no third-party analytics script runs on fontcue.com.

Embedded content

Articles may embed content from other sites (for example a video or a font preview). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site, and that site can collect data about you under its own policy.

How long we keep things

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up replies can be recognised. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful for corrections. Server logs are kept for the retention period set by our host.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@fontcue.com from the address concerned. We do not delete data we are required to keep for security or legal reasons, and we will say so if that applies.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, administrator access is protected by login hardening, and backups are taken regularly. No site can promise perfect security, and we do not.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
