Lobster is a bold connected script from Impallari Type. Its designers chose not to bend the letterforms to force joins. They did what lettering artists do: draw several versions of each letter and many letter pairs, then let the font pick the best fit for each position in a word. Browsers that support ligatures apply this automatically.
You get one style, Regular, and no italics. The weight is already heavy, so there is nothing to choose between. Language support covers Latin, Central and Eastern European Latin, Cyrillic and Vietnamese.
Lobster suits shop signs, cafe menus, badges and social posts where a headline needs a friendly retro voice. Avoid all caps, since the connecting shapes are designed for lowercase flow, and avoid long text. Put it over a clean sans such as Open Sans, Montserrat or Lato. For a lighter script look, try Pacifico instead.
