Fredoka is a large, round, bold sans that adds a little fun to headlines and other big text. Milena Brandão designed the initial Latin set, and Ben Nathan later added the Hebrew component. The project is led by Ben Nathan’s Israel-based foundry, Hafontia.
The ZIP contains Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold as static files at normal width. The original is a variable font with weight and width axes, covering weights from 300 to 700 and widths from 75 to 125, so this pack does not include the light or condensed and extended versions. There are no italics. Language support is Latin, Central and Eastern European Latin, and Hebrew.
Fredoka is a good fit for children’s products, game menus, stickers and playful app headings. The soft shapes feel less sure in dense paragraphs, so use it for titles and labels. For text, Nunito and DM Sans share its roundness without the weight, and Lexend is a clean choice for reading. Baloo 2 is a neighbour in mood.
